My name is Abby Hanson and I am your 2010 State President. I live in Moorhead MN, but started my career out with the Fargo Jaycees. I have to say that it is such an honor to continue to serve as your 2010 State President of the North Dakota Jaycees. Pope John XXIII once said,”Consult not your fears but your hopes and dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.” The North Dakota Jaycees are here to help you realize your potential and to help make your dreams become a reality. Just because a project may not have worked in the past or you have already tried that once, I encourage you to look at the projects again and maybe redesign your approach. Success comes from trying; success cannot happen if you tell yourself it did not work before. Look at your approach and evaluate it. Remember a project takes at least 3 times before you see positive results. From positive thoughts WILL come positive actions!

2010 is going to be an amazing year for the North Dakota Jaycees. We have a strong leadership team that is here to serve you in 2010. We are here to assist you in any way possible. Please let us know how we can help. We also have some fun and exciting items planned for 2010 around individual development and membership, so keep an eye out.

I encourage each and every one of you to take advantage of the opportunities that lie within the Jaycees, whether it is on a local, state, national or international level. The experiences you will gain will grant ever lasting memories and friendships.
